@Stuart said: @Buildging91 What’s the background story on how you located and purchased this coin? 🤔
I’m asking as a 1921 Peace Dollar fan and collecting specialist…
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Hi Stuart-When I started researching this coin I saw some threads you were involved in.
I'm happy to have you engage with the thread! Getting to your question.
I unfortunately have not been able to track where I had picked this particular coin up as I have had many 1921 Peace Dollars that I have bought and sold over the last several years and no longer have records of most.
I’d love to see some higher-resolution better-focused professional quality photos of the subject coin.
I find it useful to annotate provenance, purchase price & date of purchase on a small paper sticker that I unobtrusively attach to the back side of each slab, making it easier to access that information.

I may take the coin to a professional photographer. If I do I will post here.
Coming across this coin was purely chance-I'm just a novice.
I knew it was different though, light reflects off it differently. I originally thought someone scratched it up pretty bad. The Rim is very Bold and uniform compared to others I've had.

Yes!! I really respect that ANACS gave me an honest response about the coins designation.
Hedging their bets? What kind of liability, if any, does a TPG expose themselves to if turns out that they had verified a 21 Peace Dollar as a Satin Proof and "the additional opinions" opine otherwise?

If they opine one way, the additional notes are meaningless, since they can be discarded.
That is why the label doesn't say 'Satin Proof".

And it would be a shame if either or both of those things occurred.

@Buildging91 The most appropriate place for you to list the subject coin for sale & advertise it with photos would be in a new thread on the Buy, Sell & Trade (BS&T) Forum.

Started out with an impressive (if overlit) picture.
As happy to believe well of a coin as any, I can see (imperfectly) its virtues. Some are impressive.
But.......
Would I buy it under the right circumstances? Yes, but not these.
I now feel the coin is being pimped coyly and yet shamelessly by a heretofore unknown member who disavows ownership or any responsibility for the miserable (and misleading) images.
As is? No recourse? No return address?
No truly intelligible images?
A five-figure price tag?
We're being trolled.

I sure as hell am no expert on this type of coin but with my eyes it’s is without question a hammered strike
with needle sharp details like no other business strike I’ve ever seen. The surfaces of this piece are also Immaculate. No question it is a special peace dollar. If I was forced to make a call I’d say proof strike.
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful Peace dollar👍👌
The bitterness of "Poor Quality" is remembered long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.
Obviously the buyer and fellow posters that made offers didn't see it that way-to each his own-
To each their own indeed. I'd make an offer based a a good picture. You apparently are not the owner, (though your also state you've had this and other 21's for some years), but a broker of some sort. As of this point, I'm flagging this thread. It's a hype and a hoax. Which shell is the pea under?

Poor fatty holder. I'll never understand the obsession with crossing those awesome old fattys to modern PCGS.

happens to the best of us.
one thing I'd add about selling on the BST is an unwritten rule on "auction" style competitions on the BST.

Acting stupid is very sharp. The inconsistencies in your various stories are adding up.
