Disappointing T2 2021 Gold Eagles

To fill my date run I got the 2021 Type 2 1/4 and 1/2
Gold eagles. I just don’t care for the new reverse (didn’t like the T 1 reverse either), not that the eagle head is poorly done - just unattractive that strikes me as missing something.

I like the new designs on both silver and gold eagles.
Relief?
(No missing reed.)
The reverse is so disproportionate to the obverse, maybe that's a reason to dislike it. A graceful portrait of Lady Liberty on the obverse and a massive bold eagle head staring at you on the reverse.
Maybe in proof the images will pop a bit more?
I really like the new silver eagle (though there is some room for improvement), but the new gold design is atrocious IMO. I will take an eagle nest over a decapitated chicken head any day of the week.

Absolutely a dang chicken head. The gold is hideous the silver is better but why did they clip the wings. I’m ok with this turn of events add the 2021 t 1and t2 and be done with it! I’m not buying into Morgan’s and peace dollars year after year. Looks like we are going to be saving lots of money. I was hoping in person they might be nice but junk is junk

Well.... I will wait for a dip in gold price to get one... on the secondary market. Not adding gold at these prices, don't want to add cost to my clear profit stacks
Cheers, RickO
Is the decapitated head of an eagle some sort of symbolism?

It's just bullion.
I prefer the type 1 designs on both coins. The reverse on the new type 2 ASE reminds me of the reverse on the Ike dollar. The reverse on the new gold coin is especially disappointing.
Have they released the max mintage for the 1/2, 1/4 ounce coins, or are they minted to demand?
What is this max mintage for the bullion coins? Not aware of any.
