I forgot how much I liked John Candelaria. Nice career and good pitcher but only managed one all star selection.

Hal Morris - .304 career batting average and .994 fielding percentage over 13 seasons and 0 All-Star appearances.

Todd Tobias - Grateful Collector - I focus on autographed American Football League sets, Fleer & Topps, 1960-1969, and lacrosse cards.

That's amazing. I can't believe he didn't make one in '84 or '85. The Tigers had 6 guys on the team in '84 and somehow Gibson wasn't one of them.

Plus he won the MVP in 88

    I didn't realize this either

Excellent question...without giving all players deserving consideration, will start with Luke Easter and add more as time passes

Bill Buckner only made 1 all star game. Juan Pierre never made one and he was a fantastic player that just lacked power. Did everything else well.

That Kirk Gibson never made an All-Star team was a shocker. When he came over to the Dodgers in 1988 I was ecstatic. His homer in the World Series that year is an all time baseball highlight. So......I looked up his career stats and couldn't believe them! It's no surprise at all that he never made an All Star appearance. He was the type of player who brought something special to his game. Something not reflected in the numbers. Hustle, determination, winning attitude, clutch hitting, etc. I was always a fan of his and think he was a wonderful player. But looking at his career numbers it's no surprise that he never made the All Star game. Oh, well.

And Buckner is a surprise also at just one appearance. He was a real hustler and a very good hitter but he was always under the radar. I think he was a Dodger when he was a teenager. All the potential in the World. Very good ballplayer. The error in the World Series was a terrible way to end a career. He died too young. He was fun to watch!
