Terrible designs!
While the look like the modern computer crap most designs are now days, it took me a decade or so until the late 90s to warm up to the original ASE eagle. There is still hope and one can always by UNC walkers for the same-ish price if they want the good stuff
11.5$ Southern Dollars, The little “Big Easy” set
I buy the Australian Wedge-tailed Eagles. Designed by John Mercanti (reverse) and much better I might add. Much lower mintages across the series (most 5000 or less) and none of the 16 thus far in PCGS MS/PF70 cost more than $300 (that being a 2014 proof- others $125 or less). I'm only seven from a complete, perfect grade set.
Terrible speaking part….I mean reading part. What are the directors qualifications? Anyone have a bio?
What's the Mint Director, Davide Ryder trying to say here?
We're number one? Number one AGE coin produced with Type 2 reverse??
This warning sign on the wall of the #13 press made me smile, but not exactly sure why.
I bet the Moonlight Mint would love to own that press. Looks to be state of the art for sure.

A lot of hype introducing the new designs.... Not sure why, the ASE and AGE have been popular programs all along. As long as they are promoting these to the public, I wish they would go back and mint the ASE they skipped. That is when I stopped the series... Though I have purchased special issues since then. Notably the V75 ASE and a couple of others. I will get the new W ASE. Cheers, RickO
