Albert Einstein's funny face is on the world's smallest gold coin
Yes this is a year old, but I do not remember seeing it posted here
.
In Switzerland, the state-owned Swissmint says today that a 2.96-millimeter (0.12-inches) gold coin created with Albert Einstein's face on it is the smallest in the world.
The coin, shown above, weighs 0.063 grams (1/500th of an ounce) and has a nominal value of 1/4 Swiss francs ($0.26).

Swissmint said the coin, of which just 999 have been made, will be sold for 199 francs with a special magnifying glass so owners can see the famous physicist on its face.

We did discuss this last year along with the other Swiss issue that came out at the same time - I forget the topic. Sold out rather quickly.
Sorry for the repeat

Sorry, I didn't mean that to sound like a criticism. If we could remember what the other issue was, we could probably find the thread.
I haven't looked lately to see if the price was holding up. They were doing very well on the secondary market after they sold out.

It's the only one. I can't find any under sold on eBay. I should search auctions to see if one has sold lately. I guess I should have bought one! LOL

An electron microscope would be a more appropriate extra than a magnifying glass
I find the coin humorous (As Mr. Einstein intended the picture to be)... but that is so tiny. I will be happy with the enlarged image (as shown above). Cheers, RickO
UNPOPULAR OPINION:
I never liked that photo. Disturbing.

I had a Mechanical Physics(?) professor way back when I was a kid at Cal Poly. He told a story about a project that he was on and Einstein was also involved with..... Something about blowing up the world. They were in the Mojave. Talking to the cactus. Cactus talks back......O.K., Mr. E was a nut....I hope the world survives his insanity 😛 and inventions. 💥 I have my doubts.
E=MC squared. OR....😛=💥🌎
