Would love your thoughts on the grade of this coin. I was considering it as one of my next submissions on my annual vouchers.

Looks AU with a couple decent sized nicks. I also can't tell if the color is original or not, given the lighting used, so that may be an issue, too.

I would guess 53/55, I don't think the marks will details it.

Thanks Tom. Yea, I need to figure out the lighting thing with the pictures. I was using the light on the little USB scope.
By the way, I picked up a slabbed WQ and a Mercury Dime in grade 66 in an economical year to have something in hand to compare. I'm coming to the conclusion that most coins listed on Ebay as uncirculated are not, unless they have been graded.
I bought this FE as uncirculated, but after the WQ submission I was relooking at it as maybe 53?

I like it as an AU. Cant tell from the pics but it might have an old cleaning.

Great strike. Looks AU to me, but I don't think it will straight grade ...

The 9 looks like an 8 to me. ;)

The coin looks AU and quite possibly lightly cleaned and/or of questionable color. I wouldn’t expect it to straight grade.

If it were my coin, it would go in a type set Dansco 7070 or Whitman or Library of Coins...

I looked at my typo six times and didn't catch that until this post. Thanks!

Nice coin. At first glance a 58. But more like....53/55?

Looks low AU to me, with a light cleaning. Appears to be regaining some tarnish. Cheers, RickO
