Why I always open tubes of coins
Picture showed an opened roll with attractive coins. I received a sealed roll with tape that was very obviously old - peeled up in some spots, stuff underneath the edges. The roll had dirty packing peanuts instead of foam. All of the coins are covered in milk spots.
This person has sat on the return as long as they could. Then sat on sending the label as long as they could.
I even told the guy look I make mistakes too, just own it, and we can both move on. He doubled down and lied again. After all, if he checked all of them, he would've popped the seal and made a mess of the old adhesive.
Managed payments and BS like this, I can't believe I spend 6 figures a year on this platform. Especially now no Ebay bucks. Like damn dudes, it's like Ebay is purposefully trying to ruin coins and bullion sales.
Imagine receiving a message of "hey these had milk spots but the ones in the picture didnt" and then responding like this:

Some people are just crummy. I had a seller once fight a return claiming that I harshly cleaned a coin before returning it. His pictures were garbage and just hid the hairlines.
Your guy is probably just using ebay as a dumping ground hoping buyers won't really care or even check.

two kinds of SMs. Those with milk spots and those that don't yet have the spots. One should never buy SMs expecting spot free coins. They are simply bullion based on weight and should be bought as such. Seller should have revealed the spot issue and should respect the return. I learned my lesson with a brand new sealed box of privy mark SMs in 2008.
You did not say how much over spot you paid. FWIW, the mints do not tape the tube caps and they do not put a spacer (foam) in the top of the tube. Sellers smartly do that to protect the coins during shipment. Fiberglass reinforced tape on mint tubes seldom leaves any residue when completely removed.

All RCM silver tubes I've bought have had mint tape on them.
Milk and cookies, RCM is notorious for it. Congrats!

The one sealed box of SMs I bought did not have tape on the tubes. All mint tubes I ship have tape added to secure the coins in the tube. Tube caps in a mint box are secure without tape.

Wow... Good luck with your dispute. Let us know how it works out. Cheers, RickO
I see that often on the Canadian. I hate that.

My superman rolls remain super! As do my wolf, bear /cub and polar bear!
All with RCM tape.
You removed them from a sealed mint box with taped caps? Or your seller of single tubes sent them to you with taped caps? Special RCM labeled tape? The sealed bullion maple boxes I have bought do not come with taped caps.

Single rolls.
I have received single rolls of various mints' bullion where the seller failed to secure the cap with tape and the cap popped off during transit and that package arrived with loose coins. Not a pretty sight.

no way some are not milk spotted. no way at all.
Loves me some shiny!
Bummer!!!
Sounds like you filed for a return with him rather than a SNAD? I thought for SNADs ebay handles the label?
I think they got inches and millimeters confused!
Bullion is Bullion. Milk spots do take them longer to sell.
