It pays to look closely - I almost pulled the trigger on this silver CSNA medal...

These are tough to find, so when one comes up you snag it. However, at the last minute I took a close look at it and found the scratch at 2:00. Moral of the story: Look CLOSELY before you leap...

They should outlaw staples in Numismatics!
At 62 bux and hard to find does that scratch matter?
Depends on how much it bothers you.
Many of these have sold on eBay within the last year, most of them from this same seller and most of them in the $30 - $50 range.
Hold out for one you like more and odds are, you will pay less!
It absolutely does. It's distracting and will keep it out of a holder. One of mine...

The other - this one graded PR68DCAM

Yes a scratch is distracting. Bummer it's a staple scratch to. Jmo
I follow these very closely. The ones that pop up most often are the rounds and not the octagonal ones. And of the octagonal ones, the most common are the brass ones. The silver octagonals rarely make an appearance.

I counted 10 of these silver octagonals that sold on eBay in the last year.
Glad you spotted the scratch...It would have ruined your day if you had missed it before buying it. Your others are real beauties. Cheers, RickO
Good eye!
Why is a 100 year anniversary a ‘bicentennial’?
That was an error on this particular medal.
