AMC, in fact, surged 35.6% yesterday -- with 600 million shares in volume against an outstanding float of just 500 million -- and accounted for around 11% of total NYSE volume ...

The NYSE is selling MORE share than exists on the exchange!!!!

Implosion Imminent?

We are living in a time where nothing makes sense and very little can be trusted. Bizarro World.

Relax, I purchased some more PSLV (in your honor) just before the close and after clicking your FB link. So now you can probably expect a Memorial Day smackdown. Hope you enjoy the long weekend, remember those that gave all so we could be here. Semper! Peace!!

Three day weekends used to be the preferred smackdown time.... but not much is predictable any more.

I will confess that I only purchased half what I wanted because of this. Yep the long weekend smackdown just like clockwork. Will probably add more on Tuesday.

The only thing I can predict, is that 'something' will happen..... :D;) .... Highly unlikely that nothing will happen in the future... Cheers, RickO

One of my sons works in Hollywood and when he came home for Christmas and Covid he was yapping away about AMC stock. He had bought a bunch in the $2-$4 dollar price range. finally after him bugging me a bought some at $14 a share. Still holding, well see. Ive been scratching my head over these MEME rocket stocks while thinking why is gold and silver just creeping its way up. I dont get it at this point. I hope i will see a payoff after 50 years of collecting and stacking. Just dont get it. Precious Metals should be much higher

Noice, hopefully you bought a load and you will be turning that AMC into some soon to be lower premium physical. 6 months in AMC more profitable than 600 years in Au and Ag. Crazy world! Congrats to you!!!

I have a good friend that never played the market buy in this year AMC. He has over 11,000 shares averaged at a little over $10.50. He is unemployed and living in a travel
    Trailer. When he told
Me how Much he had I strongly suggested to at Least cash out some. Nope it’s going to the moon he said.

I just hope he sells before it crashes back to earth. I’m guessing that stock is 80% of his net worth. He seems to think he will have 10 mill
When it’s over. Is that even possible?
I know it’s not probable and I know nothing about the
Stock market. Except my 401k looks
Good for now. I’m sure befor I retire it will
    Come
    Back to earth too

Amazon is a very interesting case study.

At the time of the IPO, most people (including me), were quite naturally looking at this opportunity rather narrowly, and asking "can Amazon become a dominant player in the book seller market". It was not ridiculous to envision their success in books, but it hardly seemed assured, given the mainstream competition and likely emergence of new players.

What was impossible to really envision was the emergence of AWS and the extraordinary success in moving beyond books by leveraging brand and marketing/distribution expertise into other areas.

And, as it relates to precious metals: it's virtually impossible to predict social/economic phenomena beyond a few years! But, I'll make a prediction -- in 2025, gold will trade somewhere between 1000 - 10,000.

Yup...as a bookseller it lost 95% of its value in 18 months. A chamge of business and a change of time resulted in $1.5 Trillion of capital creation.
