Anybody Interested in the 2021 Palladium

Is anybody here interested in the new Palladium Proof this year?? I've been able to collect one of each of the Palladium coins so far, but this year looks doubtful. The release date is September 2 but have you seen the current pricing??? Look at this one from last year, still available too...
Another coin I was interested in, being released August 19'th, American Liberty Gold, this year has a cool shot of a bucking Bronco on it, but the Liberty is selling currently at $2815.00.
We're talking over 6K for these two. $$$$

I agree on both counts. I love both of those coins but oh boy I’m really gonna have to want them at current levels!
no mintage limit yet.

So Ms, at current pricing levels what mintage number do you think they could put on this issue to generate interest? And I am thankful I already have a proof in the series.
perhaps they learned from last year and make fewer and with a 1 HHL for the first week.
they went off sale with a high sell through
To on sale due to apparent high returns
2017 Bullion palladium eagle 15,000 sold out first day.
2018-W Proof palladium had a 5-minute sell out of 14,987 at the price of $1,387.50
2019-W Reverse Proof sold 18,228 with an initial price of $1,987.00
2020-W Uncirculated has sold only 9,267 so far as of May 23, 2021 and is now priced at crazy $3,500+/-
The 2021 Proof palladium coming up doesn't seem all that special to me, unless there is some new proof finish??
Palladium prices are destined to fall as electric cars become more common and recycling convertors has improved.
Just seems to be vastly overpriced to me at this point, but sales might drop even lower to around 5,000.

Thanks for the stats @Goldminers
I thought each Palladium being released had to have a new different finish...this Proof will be different how? And could it be so overpriced as to sell even less than 5000?
now priced at crazy $3,500+/- That's nuts.
They wish they could invent a new finish.
I don’t think there has to be a new finish.
At $3,500 it’ll take deep pockets to make a set.
Side note: you can buy graded 2020’s on eBay for less than current list
Onastone,
They are recycling the finishers now.
I am glad I have each finish from 2017 up and I am not chasing the spot price.
As Ms notes, Patience may be your friend. Or abstinence.
All we know is this from the Mint Product schedule. The Mint has a tendency to leave us guessing. Eventually, if not already, I would guess they will run out of finishes. As far as pricing, no way to guess how many will buy this one if it is a regular proof, but I think it could be less than 5,000. If it is a matte proof and they just didn't say that yet, then probably it will sell more. We need more information to make a call this early.

And for those of us that were buying Palladium maples or otherwise pre-2017, buying one of these uncirculated Palladium eagles in 2017 was a stretch! Now it is a stretch by a lot more.
But darn it, they are beautiful. In all finishes.
>
The only requirement is that you can’t use the “previous “ year finish…
how could we tell a matte proof from their well struck MS/SP ?
The label.
So, with current finishes, my fave is the reverse proof.
Probably can't very easily, but it sounds different
My US Mint Commemorative Medal Set
Unfortunately I’m with Onastone - I have all the previous palladium issues but just can’t shell out $3500+ when it’s all tied to palladium spot price. I’m focusing on classic gold commemoratives for now.
I can but don’t want to. They should make them in 1/10 and 1/4 oz then I can get 5 or 6 and feel better about it.
Hoard the keys.
Its the premium charged over spot price on a readily available product that is slowly killing this program.
Pd - spot at $2800
Mint price - $3500
a 25% premium !
They are beautiful coins. I stick to gold and silver though. Cheers, RickO

No.
I have the 2017, 18, 19 and 20 Palladium Eagles, but felling priced out now. It pains me, but I decided to pass on the 2021.
from the capitol mint, 4,100 each
I would have liked to see a different finish instead of duplicating the 2018.
Even an enhanced proof would have fit the bill.
It's all about what the people want...
Got the mintage wrong - 12,000 tho they’ll never sell that many.
FDOI isn’t worth that much.
How many F&F do they have to get quantity of something FDOI w/HHL 1?
Premiumed out or Priced out?
Palladium may dive if you want a raw one later
Premiumed out. The US Mint destroyed the Palladium Eagle program with $700+ premiums
Mint overpriced it at $3,350 intro.
Now selling at $2,900....STILL OVERPRICED !!
Mint has ruined it for regular small collectors. And they wonder why they are losing customers and sales.
A 50% premium to spot is way too high for this coin. Spot at $1950 and coin at $2900 is just too much for me. I wonder if those that paid $3350 will send theirs back and rebuy at the lower price? Unless the mint does price adjustments.

this would be like buying a brand new car, depreciation the day you bring it home
Not unless close to melt.
No!
I love the Palladian eagle. Love it. But this is the most dead issue in the history of Mint dead issues.
They already made the proof in 2018 and people are burnt out on high-dollar coin Mint inflated premiums. Deader issue.
