It's been 22 days! UPDATE Grades are in!

Since our hosts received my 4 coin submission!
I'm checking, checking, refreshing and checking about 4 times a day... I've got tru-views on this beauty and I think maybe that's holding it up.
.
Here he is! MS67 which is what I was thinking when I bought it raw a couple years back...

22 days on economy? Better go hide in a cave for a while!
Recent economy submission received 3/29 grades 5/20.
14 coins I sent to our host on an economy submission on 4-5-2021 were received on 4-12-2021 and logged in on 4-14-2021 (44 days ago). I check the status daily and do not expect the coins to progress out of "grading" for at least another month.
Patience is a virtue,.................. so I am told.

Ugh, you guys are killing me! I have read here that times were sluggish but I figured you all were a bunch of impatient crybabies.

You only look 4 times a day!?!? You have more patients than I do.
Not surprised...
Loves me some shiny!
By the time Santa comes to town, he might have the coins for @Meltdown on his sleigh
Nice quarter. Is that a small vertical scratch in the left field straight out from Georgies' nose?
Did the rabbit die?
My 6 coins Econo sub has been there 33 business days (45 calendar days). It’s getting close…..it’s in the Encapsulation stage with the QA still to go. Another week?

I don't think so. I've had it for years but it does look suspicious from the photo.

Looks like it's on the outer plastic???
The card side of the business wait is 8 months.
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
Economy?!
What a beaut, I'll grade it for you...68+ and certainly no less than 67+.
It makes the wait more stressful to continuously check the status.... Just forget about it and be surprised when your coin(s) show up in the mail. Like getting a present. Good luck. Cheers, RickO
Simple as that eh @ricko ?
When's the last time you submitted a few prize pieces and waited patiently for the mail to show up?

@Meltdown.... Though I have not submitted for a while, in the past, I never checked. Just went on with life until coins returned. Just my nature, better things to do than stress over the inevitable. Cheers, RickO
Way too calm of a response there ricko! I was trolling...
I suppose I'm not really stressed so much as excited and anxious to see these tru-views and the grade.

The other 3 submissions are just for sale pieces when they get home...
My work and home life is as busy as it's ever been so I may have embellished just how much I'm refreshing PCGS's website.

I will preemptively GTG as 67

You're preemptively saying the reverse strike is weak, I agree and that may hold it back to 67 but I think a + for flash & color.
I think the strike is fine and the toning and luster are both excellent. My only worry would be the very light marks on the cheek.

Sent in an 8 coin submission on 5/05, logged in on 5/10, still in grading.
Sent in a 24 coin submission via the express service on 5/11, logged in at PCGS on 5/14, received grades & shipped on 5/27.
Sent a 4 coin submission via the walk through special on 5/24, logged in on 5/25, the coins are in encapsulation now.

maybe 67/67+ for the 53-S unless there’s a scratch in front of the nose that triggers
This is where I get confused and I guess maybe mine just has off the chart luster (in hand). And somehow that makes up for the fact it looks like it just got into ballroom brawl.
Plenty of hits ticks and scratches and yet only a half a point off the mark.
Oh that is interesting... you are probably (hopefully) right! My experience having Washingtons graded is limited to proofs.

Nice! Congrats on the grade!
Very nice!

Nice grade but I’m surprised, no plus with that eye appeal. Maybe the appeal is what got it to a 7. Either way it’s a great looking coin.
