Hi guys remember my Au 58 1921 peace dollar. I decided to use my money to upgrade rather than restore my old Au58. Over the weekend I sold my old Au 58 to and used the money to buy this new coin.
I just got this in the mail. Now I have a Ms 62 1921 peace. 😄😄😄

A great coin with decent hair detail

Smooth, lustrous surfaces. The mark Tom pointed out wouldn't bother me as usually these are not as well-struck or are blotchy in the MS62 grade.

Really nice strike. The 21 has been on my radar for quite some time.

That coin looks nicer than my PCGS graded 64. Congrats!

edited to add: Not sure why it was graded a 58 in the first place.

I had another I sold over the weekend. It was Au 58. After selling the old coin I bought this one.

I should have recognized that your 62 was not an upgraded coin as it is in an older PCGS holder......hey, an older holder!! :D

You upgraded your old/previous one, not your “new” one.😉 And it’s a very nice, major improvement!

Yes it’s a major improvement to my collection 👍. For me it has been hard to find a nice 1921 ms 62 for a good deal. I am happy I now have a beautiful problem free coin. A major improvement from the Au 58 with dark spots.

Cool. I'm a sucker for these. I'd buy that one in a minute.

Very nice! I've been looking for a problem-free attractive MS63. Last year they were going for around $750, but I couldn't find one I liked. Guess I waited too long, as you can't touch a good 63 for less than $1000 and I've seen as high as $1500. Your 62 looks real nice!

@Onastone I think they started adding that later.

Nice looking piece, I mean Peace! It will be interesting to see how the pricing for these holds up after 2021.

@markelman1125 congrats on the very nice looking upgrade! Our coins may have been separated at birth.

Yes they have, I wonder how I can send mine to CAC. It looks really good for the grade.

@markelman1125 - most local coin shops (at least in my area) will happily submit coins to CAC (JA) as a part of their regular service. I used my LCS until I secured my own membership.

I don't think they've been consistent with labeling over the years. Since all 1921 Peace dollars are high relief, it's not really something that's necessary to notate. Peace vs. Morgan, though, is.

Looks so clean for a ms 62. Is the luster dull? Seems subpar. Otherwise attractive for the grade

Very nice acquisition... I had been looking for a '21 Peace... but then the 2021 craze grew and prices grew with it.... So I will wait.... have other destinations for my dollars... :D Cheers, RickO

Both of these coins are very well struck. That was the major factor in the purchase of mine a number of years ago. Mine is a 63.
