Classic Silver Commems Making a Move???
Over the last couple months I have noticed some of the classic silver commemoratives have had some price jumps on the PCGS Price Guide. Have any of you dealers noticed any increased interest in Classic Commems?

Rare ones in rarer holders yes, the vast majority seem as stale as ever but a raising tide raises all boats

I’ve noticed price increases, even for the plentiful, common issues. But as Crypto just mentioned, they appear to be rising along with the general strength of the market.
As has been noted in other threads, recently, even some extremely common coins, like circulated and various uncirculated grades of Morgan and Peace dollars, have seen considerable percentage increases in value.

I don't usually sell US coins but one of the local dealers had a selection of raw AU/BU commem halfs at prices that seemed reasonable, so I took a chance and bought 6 or 8 pieces. Sold all of them pretty quickly on eBay, earned a few bucks for the trouble. Next time I'm in the shop, I'll see if he has more.
The commemorative market has cycles....Years ago when I was looking for certain one's, the market seemed strong... then it sank again (after I had what I wanted). Certain commemoratives seem to stay strong. Cheers, RickO
I understand Norfolks are now so strong that AU ask is no longer higher than 66 bid. Or was that New Rochelles? Arks? Texas'? San Diegos? Iowas?
I'm all theory on this. There's been so little money in cracking out commems I've barely touched them in the last 5 years. I'd imagine "B+" and highly colorful will get some attention from retail. What issues do more knowledgeable observers see moving? Is this based on CDN bid or auction results?

Old holders, beaned coins, and pretty toners seem to attract lots of bidders on GC and other auction sites. Occasionally a very high grade but mediocre piece will command a surprising price attesting to the handful of registry set builders out there. There is definitely strong interest for select coins, but the market remains weak for dipped generic coins.
