Pcgs has true views of my $20 omega. I would love to have it in pcgs plastic eventually, or at least get to see the pics.

The one thing I don't like is PCGS does not make mention of the die pair. Some pairings are more rare than others. I like ANACS for Daniels things because they mark things accurately.

So far the only Carr 1964-D Peace Dollars that have been graded are from Die Pair 6.

The TrueViews are more off color than the actual color.

Mine graded by PCGS were die pairs 5 and 6. No difference on the labels, which is okay with me.

@robec , I would think pm’ing Phill and he would fix it easy enough.
Otherwise he probably doesn’t even know one of his team members were off a bit.

Darn, I didn’t scour this thread as close as I thought. In looking at the Krause publication only 3 Peace dollars were listed, the Matte Proof, the PL and the “regular” issue. I assumed (wrongly) since the first two were Die 6, the third would be also. I may try both Die 5’s at a later time. In that case It would be nice if PCGS would include the Die pair.

One thing I noticed was both the Matte Proof and the Proof like has a different PCGS number than the high luster dollar. All three were submitted using the same coin number that was used by @philographer. It appears that number is used for both Die 5 & 6 non Matte or non PL versions. I wonder if it could also be used for Die 8 & 9 as well.

@LindyS I’m still holding on to mine as well, though only the top row populates it for now.

Great. Turnaround times are already backed up and now they’re openly slabbing novelties and now blatant counterfeits.

You mean like the 2021 Morgan dollars?

At least those are real unadulterated Mint products, but I wouldn’t be phased in the least if the services stopped slabbing moderns.

In November, I sent my Dan Carr 2007 Seated Liberty 20 Trade Dollar token to PCGS for grading. It came back in the mail today graded MS69. :) Trueviews have not yet posted; a couple photos are below of the coin in hand...

    .

The PCGS website for Tokens and Medals says that items listed in the United States section of “Unusual World Coins, 6th Edition” by Krause Publications are eligible for submission. This is the only Daniel Carr Trade Dollar listed in the book. This is the first one graded.

FYI, from Dan's website, its 1 ounce .999 silver. 75 were made in proof-like. 25 in satin.

    Busy chasing Carr's . . . . . woof!

i have 21 1964-D Daniel Carr Peace Dollars all slabbed in the ANACS holder with Daniel Carr’s signature.

Do you see any issues getting PCGS to cross them at any grade?

    .

I don’t see any issues but make sure to ask for the holder back with his signature.
They are good about doing that but I would write it in the instructions anyways.

Let us know how your results went, if you decide to cross. So far only those from Die pairs 5 & 6 have been successfully graded. Not sure if those from Die pairs 8 and 9 have been attempted.

My favorite by far is the matte unc. version of this although I like the novelty of the PL 1964 Dollar as well...

Make sure you have a good picture or two of the old holder with the signature before you send it off.

    …to be continued…

    Bumping an old thread, @philographer.

The quoted post says "…to be continued…", but it ends here.

I have a 8 PCGS vouchers that are going to expire shortly, so I thought I'd get some of Dan's coins PCGS graded with True Views. I have some die pair 5 and 6 Peace dollars, a 1975 Ike, and a "One Roller" dollar. All of those are ANACS graded, and are listed in “Unusual World Coins, 6th Edition” by Krause, and those (other than the Ike, to my knowledge) have been graded by members here. That's 6 coins, and I have 8 vouchers.

I also have brass and silver Bessie Coleman and Sacagawea dollars, plus others from that era (ungraded). But the quoted post cuts off midway through the list. I don't have access to the Krause book. Can you (or anyone else here) post photos of all of the pages referring to Dan's coins? Various pieces are here and there, but I don't think they're all posted here.

I plan to submit whatever I have (more than 8 coins), and list the Krause numbers (etc.) with my submission.
