Attempt the impossible 2# GTG old copper (grade posted)

Since the first one was interesting, I’ll make it harder this time. NGC fatty of an earlier date with worse photos added two shots of each side with different light. One aspect I find interesting when grading old copper is surface quality is weighted differently than silver & gold. One could argue eye appeal is always considered with market grading but with copper there are many more aspects and degrees to the weighting

I like AU50 too... by today's grading standards. An old fatty holder??? Maybe 45 on the holder and a slam dunk for a green bean.

Interesting coin. I'm more in the 30 range though.
I'm in the low-AU camp.

Love the retained cud, screw the grade
Dead giveaway it's the N-2....I like it too and have one in my set.
My grade is VF30, but guessing the holder has it as a 40.

Nice even color. I'm split between 40 and 45 so I'll go high at 45 on this one, because the surfaces look real nice.

I knew this one would be hard- I put it at 30+ but I suspect they gigged it for a few splotches of color that speak to an oil bath at some point
