Still Waiting For Payment.......

When I list something on eBay, my description specifies: "I ship fast with tracking"
I know buyers have several days to make payment, however...........
When "I" commit to buying something, I make sure I have the money "FIRST" then make prompt payment. I think that's only common courtesy.
I feel like modifying my description to say: "You pay fast, I ship fast!"

I know! Alot of drunk bidding happens on Ebay. People will make a stupid bid, win, and then realize in the morning they made a mistake.
But of course, no one in this forum has ever made a regretful bid while under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. 😉
I cant remeber a time where i didnt pay within a minute of winning an auction!!
What I hate is when people make an offer, you accept and then take days or don't pay at all!

I would not ship until I receive full payment. I personally would appreciate your fast shipping.
As a buyer, I am on the opposite side of the coin. I pay immediately (PayPal) and then have to wait up to 2 weeks to get my item. When a seller creates a shipping label, it does not mean that the coin has been shipped. When you track the shipment you find the "awaiting item pickup" message. One of my last "shipped" items took 9 days to register that it had been picked up by USPS and that it is being processed into the "in transit" category. I got the coin on day 15. This delay has often happened with GC and Heritage in which I pay for expedited shipping. My recourse is to leave positive feedback on the item (when appropriate) but I leave a one star on shipping instead of five. If this seller repeats his shipping delays, I don't buy from them again. Here we both lose as he does not get a sale from me and I do not get an item I want from him.

i don't do no reserve auctions, so they have to pay right away or the auction stays up
As a buyer, if I BIN, I pay right away. If I make an offer and it's accepted, I pay as soon as I get the ok. If I bid and win, I usually pay that day or next if auction wins after I go to bed. As a seller, once I receive first bid, the item is boxed and ready to ship to the winning bidder as soon as I get paid.

If it's fixed price, make them pay when they buy. If it's an auction, yes, some buyers take some time.
People change their mind. This is a first world problem.

Absolutely! Shipping would never happen without full payment.
If it takes 3 days for payment, it might take me 3 days to ship. However, I usually message the buyer with the tracking number and tell him it's in the mail........when it's out of my control and in the mail.
I can certainly agree with the "no shipping without payment" statement, but there are times when eBay puts a "hold" on the funds until the buyer receives the item. I even had one buyer "pay" for the item, money is held until buyer receives item, items is placed on a "hold" by the buyer through his post office and "sits" at the P.O. for a couple of weeks while the buyer is out doing "whatever" and the funds are still being held until the buyer receives the item. I sent the buyer a couple of message through eBay asking if everything was ok, and did not receive a response. I eventually got paid, but some things are just not right.

That's an issue that I would take up with eBay. IMO when the tracking codes shows that the package is actually in transit, eBay should release your funds.
