I'll bet you're OCD when submitting coins. So which do you do?

Do you start with the highest denomination at the top and
a. list dates in ascending order.
b. list dates in descending order.Do you start with the lowest denomination at the top and
a. list dates in ascending order.
b. list dates in descending order.Just mix dates and denominations in no logical order whatsoever?
I do 2a. Once I tried 1b but it felt odd. When I feel daring and wild I'm going to try #3.

You are correct about the OCD. I followed the Red Book order in my last submission.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
No OCD... Just list and submit. Cheers, RickO
I do group them by denomination.
Never thought about the rest until now.
Think you just gave me something else to obsess over.

Denomination and date, pretty much redbook order, as I think the last one I just sent, I put the colonial on line 1
I’ve never done a submission before but I know I will be a 2A

2.a. here.
I think you missed the option for date run in chronological order with no deviation because of denomination.
Does checking the status of your submission on-line every 10 minutes count as OCD?........................then yes!
I’m actually not all that OCD when I list items on a submission. It’s usually in whatever order I happen to have the flips in when I get around to it.
But I’ll also agree with checking status every 10 minutes is many OCD.
I haven’t had a submission in some time so I have been spared that.

Yes,,,,,,, and I do the same.
Another OCD thing I do with submissions. When I'm riding in my car I'll try to list in my head the coins I sent n.
And then it is almost a letdown. And the process starts again with the next batch.

I've only submitting Morgan dollars to this point, so just date order.
But just to confirm my OCDness, if I happen to find I've missed a coin in the date order - I start all over again rather than submit out of order.
When I'm riding in my car I'll try to list in my head the coins I sent n.
Not to get totally off topic but just because I think coins when I see round signs, does not mean I'm dyslexic!..........right?
As one who is on the receiving end of submission forms, listing stuff on a submission form in ascending order by denomination, then by date is not OCD. It is courteous and can mitigate errors.

Excellent point to keep in mind! Thank you for that! That's two thumbs up for you sir!!

You're OCD for sure.
Redbook order, smallest and oldest denomination first through double eagles...

Mine have always been coins in the denomination, so I put them in date order (oldest first). So yes, OCD is at play.

I just looked at my 11 coin order in the Q..
2 Franklin toners and 3 AH Kennedy Halves sandwiching 6 Lincoln cents (in order).
Thought that was pretty impressive for not thinking about them.

By denomination and date in ascending order.
Not a single reply with mention of set-up coins/order, in an attempt to garner higher grades😮

2a with lowest grade first when duplicates are present.
I think that'll take a back seat to involving CBD oil in the submission somehow.

Denomination, date, mintmark! ascending order
I was thinking of that but that is a specific science for a specific outcome, not a general submission of coins for slabbing. The OCD listing rule is not in play when doing the higher grade step up game.
I am a 2a, but if I forget a coin and end up listing it out of sequence it doesn't bother me at all.
Heard a grader on Coin World podcast... he was onto this approach.
I know that there is savings in bulk subs, but I send in small orders of 4 to 10 of my best coins each month..
My methodology is consistent quality for each series.
Maybe a wildcard for education, two for the PC, a toner or variety or two to flip.
Have yet to fail in recapturing all my cost and fees... and building a collection at zero cost.
