I asked about self slabbing here: https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1056116/self-slabbing

Here are my first two, but there will be more.

Good looking self slab. I did my raw Walkers the same way. Are there any P Touch or other devices that print both sides of the label?

Very nice! Are you planning on doing more self slabbing?

Absolutely! I'm in the process of selling off much of my collection. If I have something I want to keep, and the TPG's won't do them, then in a self slab they go.

P-touch wise, I use the clear tape with black ink, that way the white label insert is the background. Peace Roy

I'm using Avery #5430 labels and printing with my computer. They fit almost perfectly. The only problem is they are a little long from top to bottom. I could cut a little off but that would mess up the uniformity of the rounded corners so, for now at least, I'm installing them without cutting them. I got the labels from Amazon: https://amazon.com/gp/product/B00007M5GU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

That's really cool. Does the slab come apart easily if you needed to get into it or is it locked shut? I like these better than flips...for me, coins can slide out of flips and rub back and forth on the plastic surface. I never liked the stapled cardboard coin holders either. I do like capsules though. but with a slab, you can put on your coin info. Two thumbs up!!!

They are easily opened and re-shut. There is a notch on the upper left side. Just place a screwdriver or ??? in the notch and give it a slight twist. Opens right up and then will snap back shut.

    Edited to fix typo.

Very nice... I have self slabbed some coins, usually just some that caught my attention and came home with me. I need to do some labels though, did not go that far. Cheers, RickO

My Morgans, Peace, Ikes and SBA collections are self-slabbed with some PCGS, NGC and VSS mixed in. I like the look and the protection offered. I use three ring binders and Eagle slab pages.

I like them! It I think about doing the same thing. Often. But....I never get around to it and probably never will. Too much bulk. Many, many years ago I put all the best examples of my type collection in those old 2x2 plastic Capital holders. The ones with the four screws. They're o.k. but now I just use 2x2 cardboard flips and put them in a three ring binder with the pocket pages. I enjoy the collection so much more when I can pull out a binder and just leaf through the pages. It's easier.
