1903 IHP that I think has a partial clip? Not sure what the webbing look is between the lower feathers, possible RPD and has extreme Longacre doubling on the reverse. Clashing on both obverse and reverse. Input welcomed

That is a very small rim clip above the "S" of STATES.

There was a speculation during bidding that it was PMD ...I leaned more towards a small clip in the pictures I was given...I came in the mail today and doesn’t look like PMD but thought I would throw it out here for other inputs

I still think it is a small clip. Maybe @seanq will chime in. He's the resident clip expert.

    legit clip like MWallace stated.

the coin like a lot of IHC has obv/rev clashing which explains the "webbing" you see from the reverse wreath.

sometimes die polishing can cause that "webbing" look as well.

i dont' know if that is an RPD but you provide sufficient images for someone that has the info/knowledge.

gratz on knowing "longacre doubling" :+1: - also nice images and presentation.

the coin is questionable color meaning it has been dipped and does not have natural surfaces from those image. imo

Definitely a legit rim clip above STATES. I also see slight repunching on the date, on the bottom left side of the 9 and 0. I don't have my books handy but it is similar to (but not the same as) RPD_020 as pictured here:

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

Thank you for your opinion on the clip and Right On about the RPD.

A minor clip on a cleaned coin.

Agreed on the RPD...does not match 020 so sent images to Indianvarieties.com for input

    congratulations!!!

don't really see these posted here.

AND you took it all the way with anacs. i love sending them discovery coins and seeing it on the label. i've done many with them.

appreciate you sharing it here as well.

rick has seemed like someone that would be fun to do something like this with and i'm glad he's still doing it.

    @Peace1

is that the same coin from the OP? if so, why such different looks? it doesn't even appear to be the same coin.

Nice clip on an Indian cent. Wasn't Longacre doubling actually a way to tell die wear as it was actually carved into the new dies? There have been many theories!
