Liberty Nickels and wear patterns... getting old with grace
resized.jpg)
I like that the 7070 Type set has a few pieces that are close enough in major design elements that allows for displaying the coins as they circulate. In this regard, I like how the Liberty Head Nickel sort of grows old "gracefully"... so to speak. Certain coin designs don't do well as they get more wear... what do you think?
I got the 1883 No Cents quite some time ago in AZ. The 1906 was my best "Bulk Bin" find... mine for the princely sum of $0.95.
Here are a couple from my Type Set...

Nice nickels... I like the Liberty nickel.... I have a 'no cents' nickel that has been gold plated....probably not one of the originals... but added it anyway as an example of the 'story' Cheers, RickO
Nice ones!
Excellent!

I agree! And Lady Liberty had the spaghetti hair thing going on long before the modern Washie's.
Here's an AU example of the lone date from the Denver mint:
I agree with your opinion on these coins and Type Set. I like keeping mine reversed so I don't have to turn the page and flip the album to see the reverse.
