Woke up to a message that I got $17.91 in Ebay bucks.
Always tell newbies to buy a CPG and haunt ebay for deals.
Unlikely as it might seem, my long term goal is a 1955 DDO in MS64 or MS65... so around $5k. (Or something similar)
Will update as I find and sell items.

Good luck ... the 1955 DDO cent in 64/65 is a nice realistic goal.
Good luck on the project, but I must warn you that in my experience most folks who want many of these varieties are not willing to actually pay market price for the varieties. Rather, they want to find them unattributed themselves. This can make the market awfully slim at times.

Growing up, I saw a documentary on Mel Fisher and was hooked.
Every auction I view, it is with the mindset..... "Today is the day!"
Will keep this ebay centric for sake tracking and accounting.
Have been hitting alot of singles of late using a tight budget. Pick, grade, flip...
I am confident, but the first $100 will be the hardest. Followed by giving up any real cool finds.
Figure 3 to 5 year thread I could see evolving into a Box of 20.... lol

It's MUCH tougher to find worthwhile varieties nowadays than it used to be. Everyone is lookin'.

In 1989 I got to meet Mel Fisher and shook his hand in Key West....."todays the day" famous quote.....like to see a picture of that day? eh? Take a close look I think this will fuel the fire and passion.....correct....that is Jimmy Buffett guitar in hand......1980 abord Mels ship celebrating the find.

Good luck with the project.... Update us once a year or so with the progress. Cheers, RickO
