PCGS 35th Anniversary Labels and a hair raising April Fools Day discovery...

I looked back at some threads and see that there are some mixed opinions on the 35th Anniversary labels. In hand I really don't mind the look. My boxes have OGH, OBH, the newer blue faded labels, flag labels, etc already so this is just another shade of... blue?? to the group.

I had two coins with damaged holders that I have wanted to reholder. The Quarterly Special was hard to beat with gold shield, true view photo, new plastic and a commemorative label, all for $13 per coin. But to only send in two coins... of course not, so what to do. Lets also send in a 1986 and a 2021 coin to bookend the 35 years. It's only money so why not, the shipping costs have to be paid anyway with or without the additions. Plus with a couple extra coins I mostly ensure I get another one of those cool black boxes!

I just got the coins back in the mail and I think the labels turned out alright.

But this is April 1st and there has to be a joke here right? Sure enough, PCGS thinks they are funny :o
What is that there...

Hmm... that isn't supposed to be there! Wait a sec... is that just wavy or is it... a curly ?!? :s

Upon closer inspection and with my limited expertise in body hair, my opinion is that it's too thin to be a curly. If I had to guess, it is probably just an arm hair. At least this isn't a high dollar coin. And you only notice the hair when you look at the coin in person as there is no hair included in the true view image. Ugh... Low value coin not really worth the postage or barber fee.

So how many of you guys collect slabbed hair and is there a premium for these? ;)

Anyway, back to the label part... I think the label looks good, it was offered at a great price and it does not have any hair obstructing it. What more can a label collector ask for?
