I guess this one could apply to any number of businesses.
Unfortunately the proprietor went out of business this year, a victim of COVID restrictions. This was President Obama's favorite place to dine when he came to Hawaii.

Just came across this past Fathers' Day gathering at Alan Wong's:
Years ago, companies used to have motto's..... The motto was posted in the various work areas and new employees were familiarized with it and the information that supported the motto. Seems most companies do not do that now. Sad. Cheers, RickO
If I recall correctly, the Rotary Four Way Test was initially such a workplace motto.

My motto , I guess you could call it a motto, was and still is...
"I work for you, and I protect you from my company".
That sums it up and covers a lot.
I remember, back in the '80s, a big sign next to the elevators on my floor in the office building - "Fix The Problem, Not The Blame." Funny thing is, in practice, it was always the other way around.
