US Colonial coppers...

A subject dear to my heart and deadly to my wallet. These seem another almost forgotten set of us coinage and more affordable then I ever extected (still not cheap but decent examples of most can be had for $100 or less) Below is a link to those i have managed to get my hands on so far I know of several others I lack still (RI ship token and kentucky copper to name just 2) Please have a look and feel free to post your early US coinage, My set does contain a few "pre-US" coins but to my knowledge they were in common use back in the late 1700s...
This one is probably my favorite at the moment, when it arrived it had been treated with a brown wax-like substance which a dip in boiling distilled water stripped right off.. While badly abused, I still love the effect...

You may soar with the eagles, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines!.

US Colonial Coppers - a subject near and dear to me. Check the link to my colonial type set below. This is the start of my third set...i.e. I sold two previous colonial collections.
Love that Rosa Americana, been looking at a few of those... next month maybe lol... and double glad I looked at your set... Didn't think my Castorland belonged in there
will have to add it to the album
as for the elephant... is that refering to the "lady godiva" coventry 1/2 penny? if so will have to add that as well... didn't think either was circulated here in the early US

No. It's referring to Elephant Tokens.

A nice big brassy colored Rosa Americana twopence is a joy to behold!
@Mrweaseluv .... That Castorland is a really nice piece... and will have the beaver collectors looking for one. Cheers, RickO
I'm slowly doing a Redbook type set. Just 1 from each major type for now.
My Nova
I love the design and story behind the RI Ship token. Just a little too pricey for my budget in the condition I would want. Think @CoinRaritiesOnline would offer me a friendly and considerate discount? 🤔😂
"Got a flaming heart, can't get my fill"
Another one I like is the Pitt token, I had to get a holed one to afford it though.
I share your love for Colonial Coppers. I have focused mainly on early federal coppers, cents and half cents, but have managed to add a few colonial pieces to my collection over the years. Most of these I obtained in Europe.
Until last week this was the oldest coin I owned that was struck for the American colonies, it is a pattern penny from 1723, it has 24 pellets in the centre of the rose whilst the circulation issues have 15 pellets in the centre. Now it is the second oldest.
This is one I purchased when I was a kid, a 1723 Hibernia halfpenny also minted by William Wood under a patent granted by the crown.
Mr_Spud
@Mr_Spud gotta say I'm jealous I've seen very very few Nova's as sharp and clean as that one
