same thought - pax was certainly on coins hundreds of years [more than 1000] before peace was; pax means peace

I had to look no further that Wiki to see an antoninianus with Pax Augusta on the reverse. I suspect that a number of Roman coins may show the Pax Romana or Pax Augusta phrase. Interesting thread.
My only submission, "GOD" does stand out...

I guess one could position that PAX on a Roman coin is not the single word "Peace" per se, but a representation of the Goddess of Peace.
