By viewing Chuck Daugherty, learned two interesting things...
Hi guys, I've been watching YouTube and decided to watch Coppercoins. Chuck's topic was on the DDR 1960 Cent. Did not know about this cool variety. Then, he brought up the story behind the " Batdorf wrapped rolls"of coins. Very cool stories. Right after viewing his channel. I quickly went to my Bank Box of Cents. First. to try to hunt down the 1960p ddr and also to try to find that classic "V" wrapper from Batdorf. He said they were famous for the early year rolls and surprisingly in newer rolls today. I found a couple! The wrappers, not the ddr coin, yet. Lol.
Chuck mentioned that the 1960p ddr's in 65-67, are decent money. From now on, I won't be letting these slip away like I've been doing.
Thank You, Chuck. ![]()

Good luck in your search..... Have you tabulated all your searches so far? How many rolls of each denomination? Must be getting up there now....
Cheers, RickO
The real question on this type of thing is: "How much cash can I get for this now?" not "How much does so-and-so say it is worth?"
Thanks for the tip Joey Baby. It I'm going to tune in.
Here are some examples of the famous wrapped rolls.

There was a forum member dinner at that ANA one evening and somebody (I can't remember who) brought a Lincoln cent that was a slabbed undated, full brockage obverse (no design visible on the obverse). Chuck takes a two-second look at the reverse and says "It's a 1973. Only year with that style of designer's initials." And yeah, his artwork is outstanding.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.
Sorry @joeykoins, but those Cent rolls are not Batdorfs...I assume that's what you meant by "famous"??

Lol. You know what? You're right! My bad, thanks. Yeah, those aren't the "V" type.
