    I try not to look at any of my coins in direct sunlight, any tiny marks and flaws are highlighted and amplified and jabbed directly into my eyes. An ms65 or 66 can look like a road rashed ms60 under direct sunlight.

    Some reverse proofs are very attractive, while others are not... IMO.... To me, some designs stand out as reverse proofs...such as the dollar coin with the Statue of Liberty above. Others are just not appealing to me. Cheers, RickO

    To my eye, the silver Eagles are the sharpest reverse proofs. The American Gold Eagle and the Gold Buffalo just don’t come off in reverse proof.

    So true. Reverse proofs seem to me like a "negative" photo. Some work, some look just wrong.
