True story about the Baby Ruth candy bar. The CEO of the Mars company knew little about baseball, but he knew a lot about competing with Milton Hershey's company. His high ranking employers were listening to a ball game and he said what's all the excitement about. They told him Babe Ruth was up. After a little discussion, the CEO knew his next candy bar to compete with Hershey was going to be called the Baby Ruth. He didn't even ask Ruth for his permission. It became the hottest candy bar on the market. Babe Ruth sued the CEO for using his name, and the CEO counter sued Ruth and won in court claiming that it was named after a Presidents grand daughter who was sick, even though he knew full well he named it after the Babe.
@Goldenage, That is very interesting, I love the Baby Ruth candy bars, and I've always wondered if it had any ties to Babe Ruth.
