DR J rookie Print Defect

Is it common for the same exact print defect to be in ~50% of a particular card? I was looking through mid grade Dr J rookies and they seem to all have a print defect under his arm. Here's a few examples

this is the most notable one that sticks out in my mind.
others i can think of that have the same rate of similar pds:
69 ryan - break in outer black border line
67 seaver - purple mets text issues
68 bench - entire backs oc. meaning entire back is basically a print defect
76 brett - snow
ones to a lesser degree is the 69 mantle. quite a few have what seems to be a little blue ink dot on the left side outer border about 2/3rds the way down.
also one could make a case for the 52 mantle since there are two different versions. although things like the off stamped stars or baseball stitching on the back aren't not necessarily defined as print defects, i guess.
obviously there are varying degrees to all. even the elbow fisheye on the dr j has quite the range of variances of shapes & sizes.
Wow, I brought up something similar just a few days ago - had never heard of Dr J’s elbow, and it pops up again so soon after... Here’s another example for the OP: https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1053536/fish-eyes-consistent-from-card-to-card

dp!
1978 molitor RC is plagued by ink smear at bottom of card.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
1975 Yount with puddle between feet.
I didn't even know about this one until a few years ago despite having owned several
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
ugh! totally forgot about that one. great call!
Not as iconic but Shaq Topps Gold RC with a thin line on the left margin that looks almost like a razor cut. I've seen PSA 10s with the defect but I definitely get the sense not all graders got the memo - so it's a much bigger risk to grade one with the defect.
Yes you are correct I would say the majority of the Dr. J have the print dot, but if you’re patient you can find nice examples without it too.

I believe any % is possible?
The back of the 87T Bonds has a defect in the card number if my memory is correct?
Take a look at these Bradshaws; all the cards have a "print dot" on the upper left corner:
I found a pic of Bonds reverses with the incomplete number "3":
The '77 Topps Garvey has a thin line running from the left border to just below his right hand, Probably 75-80% of the copies I've seen have this issue. Also, blue ink spots are prevalent on this particular card (I'd estimate ~50% of the time). In my experience, theses spots most often occur between his legs but in this example there is one within the "S" in his signature. I've seen plenty of 9s where these issues were either overlooked or ignored. I look for nice, raw copies of this particular card that possess neither. Not all that easy to find.
1987 Topps Traded Maddux has something at the tip of his nose and until recently, never noticed the ringworm on the 1980 Henderson...
The one I have personal experience with is the 88-89 Fleer Patrick Ewing. I had a PSA 10 many eons ago and as I was inspecting it one day, I found what I thought was a hair that was trapped in the holder. I sent it back for a reslab and when it returned, it was still there. As it turned out....it's a print defect and it on all of the ones I have ever seen!
Ugh, the Dr. J barnacle.
The Yaz rookie is also nearly impossible to find with a good print job, whether it's the registration, black smudge marks, or print lines running across the top and bottom of the card.
Ken Griffey, Jr. might be the king of inconsequential recurring print defects. He has the blue heart on his 1990 Fleer, the "bloody scar" on his 1990 Topps, and his blank dash in the card number of his 1990 Donruss. None of those carry a premium but he has yet another, more elaborate print defect from 1990, the Upper Deck 'No Copyright" variation which has actually picked up quite a bit of steam as of late.
I suppose someone ought to take a close look at his 1990 Score card.
