Hi guys. I was looking at a recent Giveaway prize I won. The Silver set, 1976s 40% red set. Of the three coins , the Ike, the Kennedy and the Washington. I was reading the description material provided in the set. I was surprised finding out one of the coins designers, is from my home state, Illinois? It's the design of the famous "drummer boy" on the reverse of the Washington quarter. My, I always loved that particular design. Very cool along with the seemingly high relief. Wondering if the gentleman is still with us? Pretty cool! Now I really love this quarter. Lol. ;)

Got a real kick out of these instructions. Lol

"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!

I like the quarter and especially the dollar reverse.
Half dollar......blah, just a building... albeit an historic one.

The silver set is very nice... I would not break them up for slabbing. Cheers, RickO

While he was in Arlington Heights at the time he designed the quarter, I believe he soon thereafter moved his studio to Evanston. Eventually, he moved to Inverness, about a half mile from my post office, where he lived until he passed away 3-4 years ago.

Yes! I found one today as well. Pretty cool. B)
From what I gather, only 4,000,000 mintage too. I'm just wondering what our coins grades can truly be? Great addition to my collection of a fellow Illinoisan, with his signature. Thanks ;)

    Here's mine

Wonder how many did Jack sign?

"Jesus died for you and for me, Thank you,Jesus"!!!
