Not to say the media has been anti-Pac 12 this year (and many years recently) and perhaps that is warranted at times. However, the Pac-12 put a can of whoop a$$ on some teams yesterday. U$C made KU look like a high school team and Oregon did maybe worse to Iowa in a total dominating performance. The Pac has 4 teams in the sweet 16 and all 4 won their games pretty convincingly. Yet, in this ESPN re-seeding only Creighton is below the Pac-12 teams. WTF!? I'll post link below:
Some real nice games going on Sunday. I expect Gonzaga and Michigan to advance. The other two are not so easy.
I want to say Alabama, but something tells me UCLA will keep it close and possibly pull it out. I also want to say Oregon, but USC may pull it out. Going to be a fun Sunday.

The elite eight has some pretty tough games to call, but here's how I think this will turn out.
Houston over Oregon State
Michigan over UCLA
Baylor over Arkansas
I honestly don't know what to do about USC against Gonzaga. I have Gonzaga to win it all, but this is the one team
I hoped they didn't play in the tournament. I can see this game going either way, but I'll have to stick with Gonzaga.
I felt the only two teams that had a shot at beating Gonzaga in this tournament were USC and Houston.

My other prediction is that Michigan will save face for their conference today and get past LSU.
Now let's hope for a Rose Bowl where Michigan plays either USC or Oregon after they beat FSU.
They got UCLA and should beat UCLA. Don't let UCLA's win against Bama get to their heads. They aren't final four
material. The only way Michigan loses is if they play bad. UCLA is not better than them.
The Pac 12 may still be the worst major conference but perhaps that narrative will change slightly next year with 3 of the final 8. The tourney has been nice redemption for the Pac! Oregon State is sort of a miracle team but U$C has highly skilled players and could totally give Gonzaga a game. 9.5 seems like a lot of points to me. As for UCLA, even with their best player and another starter out for the season they are playing pretty well. Obviously they would need to play their best game of the year to beat Michigan but could happen! Of the three I actually think U$C is the most likely to pull the upset.
USC has the best freshman in the country. A 7 footer who plays like Kevin Durant. Teams with length, like USC, can give Gonzaga trouble. The problem with Gonzaga is they lead the nation in scoring points the fastest. Their bench is so deep and so good that they can keep throwing guys out there and run, run, run. USC can beat them if they slow the game down, but when I say they could beat them, I mean they sort of like could. I don't mean they will beat them.
But of the two teams I thought had a chance against Gonzaga, it's USC because of their length, and Houston because of their defense. However, I still have Gonzaga winning it all.
The Pac-12 has had a great run. I don't see any of their teams advancing past this point, but I would agree that USC is the team to watch. I can't see Houston and Michigan losing. But if they play as bad as Alabama did, then they could.
Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

Thanks Mark. I have to say I really like watching games when my team is the underdog. I feel so much less pressure. When I am watching my Dodgers (or Vegas Golden Knights) it's like anything other than a win in the playoffs is a failure.
As for Michigan I don't understand why they stopped going inside. UCLA had no way to stop those big guys.

A thing of beauty. Hope MJ watched what team basketball looks like.
You don't win playing like that. Congrats UCLA

Not that it mattered who won the Michigan-UCLA game. It was going to be either teams last win of the tournament anyway. Great season for both schools.
