A tell-tale sign that coin shows may soon resume and that this pandemic is coming to an end

For the first time in 12 months TP has gone on sale at Costco.
Can the availability of Costco food samples be far behind?

I finally found the 91% after finally finding the 70%
I was at Costco the other day and thought the same thing when I saw Lysol wipes in stock. First time in a year, since I’ve seen them there.

Probably some catch up in reporting. But there were 4.6 million vaccines given yesterday! Another good sign.
My current "Box of 20"
And in my state the vaccine is now available to anyone 16 years old and up.
My wife and I get our first shots tomorrow. Pretty excited

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
I just got my second shot of Moderna Thursday. My wife got her second shot of Pfizer last week. So we're all set here. I will be going out and about (with a mask) by the end of the month. Finally!
Got the J&J shot a week ago. Almost good to go.
I got first shot of Moderna today

Had my 1st Moderna Dec. 30th, 2nd on Jan. 28th. ( Frontline EMS Paramedic ) Our company has been advised to still wear a mask and plan on it until the end of 2021. Possible to be a carrier. Personally hoping the end is in sight.
Good sign for sure. Have had both Pfizer shots - was worried about any reactions but no reaction the first time and just fever/headache after the second dose for about a day. Worst part was we had 20 inches of snow the day of my first dose and then my car wouldn't start leaving the hospital after the second dose. LOL
I plan to continue wearing a mask for the rest of 2021, but will start going to see more people this summer. My wife and I plan to move on in 2022 and resume pre-2020 life.
Yippee! Now everyone will have the "vaccine" and still have to wear a mask and not gather together.
There is no vaccine for being ill-informed. Sheesh. Maybe get out once in awhile and read? The exact opposite is happening out there where the vaccinations are happening.

I got a lot of the 40% (and even a 57.5%) early on, but I guess that's good, too.
I get my second Moderna shot on March 27.
A couple weeks after that shot, I will go out and continue to follow safety guidelines (wear a mask, social distance, wash hands frequently). Why? Because I am not selfish, and want to protect others. Just because I should be good to go, not everybody else will be.
Not only did I have the Virus in November, I've now had both Pfizer shots so I'm definitely ready to get out to a show. Not some local VFW-hall show but a REAL show!!

Don't be too hard on yourself. Maybe you missed Fauci and Biden telling people to keep wearing masks and keep distancing even after being vaccinated.
I have received the first shot... second at the end of the month. I have been working throughout this pandemic except for one month May....I do the shopping as well - with a mask. I do not wear a mask outside when not with others. Take reasonable precautions and all should go well. I did lose to former shipmates to the virus... both had other conditions (COPD, then pneumonia). Gun shows and business have been very busy. Cheers, RickO
Bring back the free samples at Costco!
No shots yet - let's just say I'm immune for the time being.
I have wiped down more tables and chairs and counters and doorknobs in public... I wonder if I've helped anyone else avoid it.
I've had 1 shot, going for the 2nd the 23rd.

with about 35 million vaccinated we're still 200 million+ short of the "herd immunity" goal. while it's admirable that so many of us have stepped up and done the logical thing, gotten the shots, it's baffling that so many who want this to end refuse. who knows when we'll have regular shows again, I can wait. when they eventually start up it'll be spectacular to witness.
Fun post. I walk by toilet paper in the aisles of the supermarket or Target and chuckle now. Yes, things are getting back to normal. Travel is back on the table.
I am traveling, along with my sister, to visit my 89 year old father next weekend. It will be the first time we have assembled since Thanksgiving, 2019. We are all vaccinated. I will still wear a mask with a face shield on the plane because it frightens people, and they stay away. I might just keep doing that indefinitely. Will probably wear a mask on airplane forever. There is no harm in doing so, and it might help.
In April, we are visiting daughter at college in New Orleans.
Big couples trip to Maine in September. Will not resume international travel until 2022. We had long planned 25th anniversary (May, 2021) trip to Paris but will bump that to 2022.
When local coin shows are back, I will return but will wear a mask for a while, I don’t want to risk getting all of the old people sick. 😉

Henry David ThoreauRYKI'm never congregating in groups of people ever again in my life. Coin shows are the one thing I never got back around to that I've said goodbye to forever.
I've been spending time building my digital PCGS registry. It's a lot more fun than I thought. The awards are wild I had no idea this existed.
I'm submitting some raw gold maples and AGE to PCGS. Love the pictures, slab, and NFC chip. They will fill out my sets nicely and I've wanted some of them done for awhile.
Second Moderna was on 2-14. Funny how they made it real clear it was 94.1% effective overall. Had to really dig to see it was down to 86% effective on 65+. Pfizer only down from 95% to 94% for 65+. They didn't want seniors declining Moderna, and waiting for Pfizer.
Well that escalated quickly.

I'll probably aim to get the Pfizer vaccine but was unwilling to drive over an hour where it was being administered.
There are a few dealers who set up at open air flea markets I know. They should reopen in a month or so as weather gets warmer. One dealer is meeting with customers in his mini van displaying his goods on the divider space in front, not appealing to me. I like the sociable aspect to this hobby. Many of the shows are wastelands in terms of quality product; if you get to the show before others you can find deals; I tend to get the leftovers.
The shops have been open a while now but here in New England dealers tell me they are just not getting a lot of fresh material so they are doing more in precious metals than anything.
Just had my second Pfizer shot last Wednesday. Mild side effects - sore arm and having to take several naps the next day. Was back to normal by Friday.
I think things are getting better and I can't wait to get to a show!!!
I have worked every day without taking a sick day or personal day off since the pandemic began. I am an essential worker where we fabricate foam for medical products for Thermo Fisher and Boston Scientific to name a few. Not taking a day off is not abnormal for me as I don't take sick days or personal days. The last sick day that I took was over 10 years ago in 2010. I have not taken a personal day in almost 23 years when my dad passed. I can count on one hand the number of personal and sick days that I have taken in the 37 years of working at the same place. I have taken exactly 13 vacations days since the lock downs began last March and it was mostly to do projects around the house.
I need a show!!! I don't like masks as I have trouble breathing through them (when worn properly) and my nose runs wetting the mask (I feel for you @ricko ). I want to go to a show so badly that I will wear my mask and do whatever else the promoter or facility requires to make others safe. Did I mention that I NEED A SHOW!!!

I agree that there will be certain modified behaviors that will continue indefinitely. For example, those of us who have spent time in places such as Japan have observed that the wearing of masks on planes was already the norm there even before 2019.
Interesting. However, apparently all three, to include the one-shot Johnson & Johnson with even a lower effective rate for becoming infected, are close to 100% for avoiding hospitalizations and survivability.
I’ve been fully vaccinated for 6 weeks. California will allow indoor dining today. I plan on attending shows in the future. Masks will probably be required at shows through at least the end of the year. Everyone has a different level of comfort and risk. If you’re uncomfortable going to a show now then don’t go and this isn’t meant to be a disparaging remark. Hopefully we’ll all be comfortable engaging in our normal prepandemic activities shortly.
Financially speaking, I have a temporary climb to make.
Covid wise, just got my first shot and plan no changes to my routine. Mask, distance, limited social interactions.
Should finally summit about in time for FUN in January.
