Return to old Washington Quarter design?

CoinHoarderCoinHoarder Posts: 2,318 ✭✭✭✭✭

OK. I'm ready to go back to the old Washington Quarter design. Both obverse and reverse. I miss the awesome eagle on the reverse, as well as the full size Washington bust on the obverse.

Do you agree? Or, disagree? And, why?

I vote for one along the lines of the Alabama, Arkansas, or Texas commen reverse.

I disagree. I have seen that design for too many years. I like changes in design. I don't like portraits on coins.

I think that there should at least be an Eagle on the reverse! Not some battle portrait/landscape scene. A whole new design is in order- the Georgie has been with us for nearly 90 years now, too long! Put lady liberty or someone else on our coinage.

I am tired of that old design honestly. I do think the design should be consistent again though, so pick one new design and stick with it.

I thought we had a new design - the one they introduced this year.

A complete re-design might be in order. Eliminate the President (even tho I like the obverse design) and stop with all the commemorative stuff on the reverse. It was OK at first but it's getting very old.

Disagree. It was a second rate design, but the pictures of the latest version looks better than those in the past.

I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

We need a new design that the American people can really get behind and relate to, symbols of strength and freedom do not work for todays America. Perhaps a lamb with a muzzle peeking out from behind a curtain, I think that would be very fitting for todays coinage.
