2020 American innovation $1 reverse proof coin error

So I just opened my new box from the mint that came today, and the first coin I looked at was this American innovation South Carolina $1 reverse proof s and when I flipped over the box the reverse was rotated about negative 10°

Do you have another one to compare? How do we know that isn't the normal alignment?

If you notice on the original image in God we trust and the statue are tilted to the left these in this picture are straight across

Why are the people in the first photo walking uphill? ;)

It looks to me like the alignment is identical in both coins. The whole coin is just rotated 10 degrees in the first one

    I think that's too subtle

I think you are looking at the design wrong. "South Carolina" is not supposed to be centered at the bottom of the coin.

I think the center/bottom is after the word South. The designer's initials to the left of the figures should be level when orienting the reverse.

Ten degree rotation is really small... I think we need to see side by side, direct images with another next to it. Not sure they will attribute a ten degree rotation, if confirmed. Cheers, RickO
