New to PM's. Whats best to stack?

Hello everyone. I'm new to PM's and am wondering what's best to stack? Coins or slabs?

Slab is used to refer to a graded coin in a plastic slab. Did you mean to say "coins or bars?" Or did you mean "raw coins or graded coins?"

Stack what will be easiest to unstack. Premiums over spot for various products indicate those in highest demand (easiest to sell). Always consider ease of re-selling when you buy.

Loosely translated buy low sell high.

  • I meant coins vs bars.

Coins, and gold ones not gutter ones. Good Luck!

What is best to stack, depends on how much money you have to spend.

    ASE's and AGE's are a good choice.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

Generic silver rounds, especially with the premiums on Eagle right now. If you are buying gold - then anything government issued that has a reasonable premiums...

Agree. But go for the cheaper bullion ones, not the ones with a W min mark. Also consider bullion gold buffalos. Don't pay the extra for graded 70s unless you are a collector. If you're worried about authenticity, graded 69s can often be had for close to the price of ungraded. Graded includes certification of authenticity (not fake).

Premiums (the difference between product price and spot price) are at all time highs. You might want to save and wait for a dip in spot or a reduction in premiums.

@S_Mcduck.... Welcome aboard. Stack ASE's and AGE's... And Gold Buffalo's... but premiums are high .... though lower than a month or two ago.... Buy as close to melt as you can find....market will go up eventually.... Good luck, Cheers, RickO

    For me, Gold: Eagles,
Silver: Eagles, bars: brand name or junk silver...
