Well, I don't have time to get into it right now, but I can tell you it is obverse 33. Absolutely the toughest series of obverses to ID, there are 50 different obverse 33's all differentiated by very minor details. Plenty of detail to ID it, just time needed to invest in it. May be able to spend some time with it at some point over the next few days. You don't just open a book and point it out with these, it takes time, sometimes lots of it!
I will keep an eye out on this post and would appreciate greatly your help. You can pm me too if you would prefer. I didnt realize that there were this many varieties for the dies.
I was able to spend some time with it, I agree, 33.7-r.2 rarity-1. Although I have kind of drifted off to New Jerseys, I collected Connecticuts by die variety for quite some time. The 33 obverses were always my least favorite to attribute due to the number of them. While yours is a common variety, it has nice color and is an attractive coin.

Interesting old (very old) coin. Was it a shop/show purchase? Or an MD find? Cheers, RickO
Was a shop purchase. sounded like a reasonable price so i took a shot on it. trying to figure out what it is worth still, just know it was alot nicer than what i typically see.

Not a bad coin, I think I'd try hitting it with some acetone for that green spot. For what it's worth I'd call it a $40 coin.
