I don't think they will make Christmas => Whitman is not selling as a pre-order

last few have been printed in China, so maybe in a slow boat

Since the 6th Edition Volume II was originally supposed to be released almost a year ago, I truly wonder if it will be released even by Christmas 2022!

Whenever I get an email from Whitman about free shipping for orders over $25, I look for pre-sales and they are still not showing anything. Whitman has now started selling books on more different hobbies though ....

Maybe it’s like “fine wine”, that it gets better with age?

Betting on WFOM release. Probably there it will be a sellout and lots of publicity in our community.
I will stand inline there for one.

    Thanks @krueger!

Does Whitman have press releases? Doesn't Whitman have a mechanism in place to notify or keep their costumers advised of upcoming publications? Everything I've heard seems to be a bogus excuse about the release of the next edition.

yes, if you buy something from their website you get offers and free shipping on orders over $25 type things. I check every month and it has not shown up on their coming soon / pre-purchase so I am guessing it is not very close.

Doesn't Mr. Whitman know there are a lot of old guys in this hobby/profession? We might not live long enough to see the 6th Edition of Volume II of the Cherrypickers’ Guide.

Does anybody know of any updates of when or "if" the sixth edition of Volume II of the "Cherypickers' Guide" will be published and released?

@JFK_Collector Dentuck announced in another thread it will be this year but did not provide more information. It was mention by an advertiser in the new book that it would be released at a certain show this year. Without getting an official word from the publisher, I will refrain from mentioning the show.

Well..,. thanks very much BUFFNIXX, Tibor, rokky, for turning this into a POLITICAL thread and ensuring it is going to disappear.

There was NO REASON whatsoever to bring politics into this thread.

Yes.... thank you. No need to lecture. No, not too much coffee. We can take jokes.... as well as anyone else. But the hosts of this forum are quite diligent on keeping politics out of the posts. It can get people banned.... and we have lost some good informative threads that went the wrong direction. They sometimes allow a 'little' slack, especially on a thread related to economy, inflation, etc.... but has to be very subtle! something ...... blatant..... may be funny to quite a few.... but tends to really escalate things and seldom ends up good.

Believe me.... most of us who have been on the forum have... perhaps.... pushed the edge a little ourselves at times.... I've had one of my own threads deleted. (fortunately haven't been banned or given a 'time out' yet!)

Thanks again..... and meanwhile.... yeah.... it could be a long, long time before that cherrypickers guide comes out! Your point was understood!
