Chattanooga Show Newps

Pnies20Pnies20 Posts: 1,864 ✭✭✭✭✭

Went to the Chattanooga show today. Was a decent little Saturday. Lots of folks cleared out at about 2 P.M.

Was able to snag a few bust halves.

This 1826 is an O-115 R5-. Not a super rare or super expensive coin but a 45 has only sold a couple times in the past 11 years according to Hermman’s book. Doesn’t come around very often and the price was right.

This 1809 is an O-107a. It is one of my favorite die varieties because of the die break on the front and the segments embossed between the right wing and the legend. Again not super rare or super expensive but a coin I really like.

If you’ve ever been to the dalton or Knoxville shows it’s very similar.

I’m actually not from the area of Tennessee. Just vacationed and spent o few weeks in Chattanooga and Gatlinburg. Love the state. I can imagine that the show is similar to the small show I attended recently in Maryland.

Gatlinburg is a great place to hang out in a cabin for a few days. I went in ‘19 and got up close and personal with a few bears by accident 😳🐻
