When I took French in high school our teacher told us to roll our R's. Your coin is PMD.
thank you it such a strange looking thing .I appreciate yourrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr knowledge
So in hand do the R and U appear to be squashed or peeled away?
MY COINS FOR SALE AT https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/collectors-showcase/other/bajjerfans-coins-sale/3876
they looked peeled thats why i was confused usually they look flat but these dont
The metal was deformed by whatever caused the damage. PMD
It looks like the rim was hit ... and with the R and U looking like they were was peeled back ( your words ) I'd say PMD.
The coin has heavy Machine Doubling and also that damage.
As you learn about the minting process you will understand that no error would look like that.
But it is a very unusual effect.
Definitely PMD, but an uncommon effect. Cheers, RickO
