One of my Favorite Morgans

PCGS rattler MS 64 CAC, I usually don't buy coins in a holder unless it is a hoard or something like that, which I do collect but this coin really caught my eye.

Nice one. 👌
How come?

How come what
If you meant how come I do not usually buy slabbed coins it is because my real passion in Morgan dollars is non damaged circulated usually VG to EF range. I have a many hard to find dates and also have collected Morgans for many many years and am pretty good at spotting counterfeits .At one time my whole collection was in PCGS holder and over time I realized for me it was more about the grade and holder so for last 15 years or so mostly all ungraded circulated and I really enjoy my coins. To each his own right.

I like it.
Real nice coin!
I really like the rim toning balance.
Nice luster, looks like a solid 64.
A nice looking Morgan.
A nice Morgan with only a small amount of tarnish....
Cheers, RickO
An attractive example with some character.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
nice morgan

Yes, and what I like about this slight rim "toning"
is that it authenticates the originality of the coin . My guess is that this coin spent a lot of its early life in a canvas bag, with the date edge fairly close to the edge of the bag. Although the coin is mostly untoned, it looks original.
Looks like a keeper.
Very pretty, I like I!

@ricko if you could would do dip every coin there is? Like TDN's 1794 dollar?
@CalifornianKing....No. I am not a dipping fanatic. My preference in coins is without tarnish. However, as we know, coins in circulation will change and become worn/dirty/tarnished. I will not perform anything that will harm the surface of the coin. Acetone will only remove organics. Cheers, RickO
Good. Cause I thought u were one of those "white is best no matter what" fanatics!
