I have a couple very similar from original mint sets. They’re darker but under light they have some great color. I haven’t decided whether to send them in or not. Just feel like the toning might be considered a negative.

Really nice! I like that toning!

A bit dark for my taste but looks nice in light.

It's your coin @asheland I'm happy if you like it but I'm with @ricko on this one.
I think it was left in an NGC box under a bridge too long.

Just kidding, but what's up lately with the box under the bridge?

I also have one or two that resemble that one. Bad light and you wonder why you own it. Good light and it's a beauty. I like yours.

Looks o.k. but the pictures leave a lot to be desired. I like it from what I can see.

That Franklin has some amazing color on the reverse!

    I like it...I don't love it.
    The obverse is rather dull.
1958s are known for vibrant mint set toning.
Or, conversely, they can be ugly like most 1955s.
One thing I've noticed is that, for some reason, most of the really stunning 1958 Franklins seem to be from Denver.

    Thanks everybody!
I too believe it’s mint set toning.

It's kinda ho-hum, but I think the reverse would pop with a better photo set-up.

The photos and videos do not provide enough information to have an informed opinion. I may like it, or I might hate it in hand.

I bet it looks great with some better lighting and photography.

Coins like this are possibly photogenic beyond their true character. I dunno. The color is nice but I usually prefer that there be some part of the coin that is closer to white. In sunlight, it would be a corroded, nasty looking thing. Under a nice incandescent, it might really impress. Odd hobby sometimes. :)
