Thank you all for the kind welcome(s).

My collecting interests are very diversified. I suppose, above all else, I enjoy esoteric items and items displaying a lot of drama and or character. I enjoy beautifully toned items, dramatic errors and varieties, supreme examples of common items and circulated old coinage with character. I also love the variety of cool tokens there are and also enjoy most older (when it was truly artwork) paper currency. Okay....I guess I find enjoyment is just about every facet of numismatics. ) I also greatly enjoy roll hunting when I have the time to do so. The modern "treasure hunt" never gets old.

Looking forward to seeing, sharing, listening, chatting, learning and teaching! Most of all I'm hoping to make some friends with common interests! )

@Southside7.... Welcome aboard.... And I certainly will be a friend. The fact that tarnish on coins does not appeal to me, has nothing to do with what you or others collect. I just avoid them, and avoid the elitist title 'tone' or 'toning' to describe tarnish - which is environmental damage to the surface of the coin. That being said, collect what you like and be happy... It is a great hobby with room for all tastes and preferences. Cheers, RickO

LOL! In the spirit of already liking @Ricko and his transparency (because he's right) let me rephrase: I enjoy "beautifully, unintentionally" tarnished coins. Equally, however, I love and admire blast white, screaming red or sparkling gold coins equally as much. I even like nice wooden nickels! Hey....I got the smiley face right. I'm exactly like a pro....only not!
