Hard to tell for sure from the picture, but I’d probably just spend it cause I think it’s probably just damage and not an error. But like I said, I can’t tell for sure from that picture

It’s damaged – everything you see different on that dime occurred to it after it was already in circulation – it’s not an error of any kind, I’m sorry to say

I have been collecting coins for about 5 years now and spent many hours online and in books but still have yet to comprehend the art of coin identification so I know what I actually have. Comparing to pics I think I have a few decent specimens. The confidence to list one at a fair price or send in to grade just eludes me.

PMD for sure.... I suggest you read some literature on the minting process so you better understand what could occur during minting. Then it is a matter of studying coins to understand the visual signs. Do not be discouraged, we all started from scratch. Cheers, RickO
