Managed Payment fees 7.65% + 30 cents with Top-rated plus
Had my first managed payment purchases today. They actually credit the top-rated plus discount immediately. The total fees are 7.65% + 30 cents. This compares with 8.44%+30 cents with PayPal. 0.8% cheaper!!!
I'm a happy managed payments customer as that works out to around $1000 per year in savings.

TOOT TOOT!
Good info.
I have not yet been contacted about a switchover.
Been on it for about a week. Same stats here, and auctions paid for by buyers on Sat & Sund. have been transferred to my checking account today, Tuesday, which is my scheduled weekly payment transfer date. So far, no issues.
Yes, I also opted for a weekly transfer. I never transferred PayPal more frequently than that anyway.
does anyone know where we can look to see when/how much they've issued payouts from the ebay system?
Payment tab at the top of the my Ebay page
muchas gracias!

Did you find it on the seller hub page?
I like the interface on the payments page. I think it's very clear what the status of everything is.
I have seen the same rates with my managed payouts. Top rated plus is well worth it. Congrats!

do I go dark tomorrow?
Why would you go dark?
I did not sign up for managed payments.
Could be.
'cause as one of my ex-wives told me "once you go black, you never go back"

ya, it was pretty simple. i looked around a little before asking here but didn't want to spend a lot of time on it if someone here knew the answer. just really want to make sure the numbers match up between sales/fees/payments etc.
i thought you signed up right away? i really don't care but thought i recalled you saying as such.
I got a eBay message a couple days ago telling me I had to sign up by April 6 - 95% + of my listings have been in coins
Ebay forced me to go on "managed payments" on Jan.22. They said I could start selling coins on the Jan.25, then they changed that date to Feb. 23, now it is Mar. 9. Then to top it off, I got notice the other day that my seller rating was going to drop if I did not start selling soon. Coins are all I have to sell at this time. They forced me into something that I did not ask for, restrict my selling abilities, and then lower my rating because of it. Ebay is retarded.
That's odd. I registered for managed payments last summer. They left me alone until Feb 23rd when I could start selling coins and, voila! Flawless transition.
The date is because you must have a personal account.
Do you sell things other than coins?
Question. Once i am enrolled in managed payments, can customers still pay with paypal, or do i need to turn that off?? Otherwise i would be paying the 7.65 to ebay plus another 2/9% to Paypal??
Cashback from Mr. Rebates
Buyers can pay with PayPal or any other approved payment through the managed payment system. None of it will change how you get paid. The fees for you will be the same.
Been on the system for a couple weeks now and so far no complaints. Payouts actually run pretty smoothly.
My Ebay Store
"can customers still pay with paypal, or do i need to turn that off??"
Turn it off.
So we all need to to turn off paypal. so were not double billed. correct?

Sorry if this is OT, but it may be related to Managed Payments, which I've not signed up for as yet. So I checked my Active listings today and a banknote I had listed on eBay for around $5k is no longer in the system. It also doesn't show up on my Ended or Unsold lists. I have another banknote listed for under $1k which is still active. I also have a cheap coin listed which is still active.
Any ideas? I'll likely call eBay tomorrow sometime.
eBay is a hot mess today... all kinds of problems. I had to call the help desk twice. The lady said they were experiencing significant problems and hope to have them resolved by tomorrow.
I could not combined multiple orders, had a “ready to ship” indication in an item that didn’t exist, and had a negative payout processing due to an order cancelation that had a messed up refund...
What a mess.
I don't think it's turned on, is it? The default payment method is automatically managed payments and everything runs through that.
Wow, that sucks. I haven't had any problems (yet), thankfully. I'm sorry to hear that they are having issues. I suppose I should look more closely at my live listings.
I had 3 end in last half hour with bids, 2 got sent to listings ended. I will see tomorrow where they are, they still have send invoice button.
I sent a counteroffer to a buyer. He clicked "Accept", eBay ignored the offer price and charged him the listed price.
I don't think it is a Managed Payments issue.
I think it maybe that you didn't update the required fields in the listing, hence the listing was removed for a listing violation.
I had the same problem sold items were being sent to the unsold listings. Some items are listed as sold and unsold.
I wonder if it is indirectly a managed payments issue. I've had none of these problems, but I'm on managed payments. Correct me if I'm wrong, but all the people having issues are not on managed payments yet.
I have been on Managed Payments for about a month and have the problem with sold items being listed as unsold. There is a thread about this on eBay.
Well then, for the first time in my life, I'm the lucky one. Lol
March first.
I did not sign up for managed payments.
I still have 580+ items for sale on eBay.
Maybe I do have until July like that one-time random phone call from eBay? told me
I'm not sure why you don't sign up. It's significantly cheaper than PayPal, approaching 1% cheaper if you have Top Rated Plus. That starts to add up.
I absolutely love Paypal as a business.
I expect eBay to offer me an incentive to switch, perhaps then
They offered 10,000 free listings per month and a 0.8% cheaper rate. That is 2 incentives.
Then again, if you only do $100 per month on eBAy, that's only $1 per month in savings.
I already have an eBay premium store with 1000 free BIN listing per month so they got to offer me more, perhaps a free eBay Tee-Shit?
If eBay decides they want you to sign up for managed payments, they don't have to offer you anything.
Just to close the loop on this, the listing in question reappeared this morning, so I was apparently victimized by the mammoth software SNAFU which took place yesterday.
LOL. You're ignoring the $1 per month you'd save in fees. I mean, it's more like $100 per month for me. But apparently you don't have enough $ volume to make the 1% worthwhile.
but eBay MP doesn't allow you to buy crypto and PayPal does and I up more than 1% on my first day of crypto
You can easily move the money out of MP and buy crypto with Coinbase or another company.
And if you are 10% down on your second day of crypto trading, is that PayPal's fault?
But you can put your money into Coinbase pro and only pay 0.5% (buy and sell) as opposed to 1.5% (buy and sell) for PayPal.
Are you really, in all seriousness, suggesting that you are sticking with PayPal so you can pay 2% extra for a round-trip crypto transaction (1% extra buy/1% extra sell) + another 0.8% in extra selling fees??? So, your argument for PayPal is that you want to give them 2.8% more money than you need to?
It defies logic.
I'm just effing with you
Thank God. I was starting to worry.
Hmmm I got 50,000 free listings but can't use them for coins. Has made my seashell business boom though. They still haven't activated me for managed payments.
I noticed that i was charged the 7.65% rate on my first coin sale transaction. THis was charged on the sale price, shipping and Sales Tax. They buyer was in California, and I am in Illinois.
Was this correct to charge the buyer sales tax on a Morgan Dollar listed properly in the coin category?
I prefer my buyers not to pay sales tax, if coins are taxe exempt. Especially when i will have to pay 7.65% on top of that!
Cashback from Mr. Rebates
I believe coins are not tax exempt in CA unless the purchase is over $1500.
Have you guys figured out the differences when you have to pay that 7.65% on tax from a high tax state like California?
