20+ years of Pokémon I finally did it

After 20+ years of buying Pokémon cards.

I finally pulled the card everyone wants. Wel ok the card design everyone wants, not quite 1st edition shadowless or base set 1st edition, base set or base set 2.

Instead I found it in a packet of CP6.

I found my first Charizard, it’s a 1st edition and the quality is hopefully good enough for a PSA 10 when I submit it. For now though the plan is to buy another pack of CP6 as I was bored due to covid lockdown and the pack had originally been put with other packs designated and packed for PSA whole pack encapsulation. I’m kind of glad I opened it as I wanted to know if it did have the coveted design from the original set back in the 90’s.

Anyway plan is to buy another pack to replace the opened one and send off for grading and buy a box for the future. It may be Japanese but the quality is higher and so is the centering compared to English cards.

First congratulations! Always fun to have someone pull something in a 20 yr hunt.

Now - what? Charizard? Have no idea.
