By wear I see it as an MS63, however the color is questionable to me and I suspect that is why the coin was offered raw. That said, I would be very happy to have an example like that, for all my cherrypicking and variety collecting that is one coin I have never owned.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.
"Keep in mind that most of what passes as numismatic information is no more than tested opinion at best, and marketing blather at worst. However, I try to choose my words carefully, since I know that you guys are always watching." - Joe O'Connor
Always a nice variety.
The rims tell me it is not MS but the color and surface tells me the coin has been boinked.
Not sure about the price paid so could have been a bargain.
Details for either the scratch or the AT, my advice would be to return it if you can as it will always be a problem coin. However if you really like it I hope you got it for a nice discount.
Jim your new pictures make the coin look different than the first set of pics. I think the coin is AU ( the rims don’t look. Ice enough for me to call it unc). I’d be very surprised if it straight graded. The coin to me just looks off. I do hope the best for you
Good find... I have checked a lot of cents looking for one of those... No luck. I would say from AU to MS61.... Be sure to let us know what it grades. Cheers, RickO

A fun variety that is always in demand.
Hard to say from the photos, it could be anywhere from a AU-58 Details scratch/cleaned to a MS-63 Brown.
Cool score
Blurry. I am seeing double.

Sweet!

I was thinking the fields look kind of marked up, so high AU?
I like it very much. I should not have balked at a coin shop that was selling this
variety years back. I really think it’s ubiquitous with the 1970’s

I would guess that it didn't straight grade because of the scratch so someone intentionally toned it to sell raw.
It is what it is.
I like it.
High AU, did you buy it or find it?

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
AU details scratched and questionable color.
I know my pics are very poor ... so I took this close up to show you there is no scratch.

So is it a toning streak? From your initial pics I got the impression that there were also a number of hits in the fields. Are the fields clean?

Coins look too good under florescent lighting. For the most realistic portrayal of coins....use old fashioned incandescent light bulbs.
The obverse scratch would keep it from a straight grade, imo. Great variety!
