Some of that stuff is frustrating to look at in 2D

    Waste of time for me...

Look at documented varieties and see if you kind find other PUP's to help in identification.

Maybe I should say both? It has three legs for sure. It also has four legs.

What made you think that even had a shot at being a 3 legger?

Four legs, it doesn't have the iconic spray.

This is not even remotely close to being a 3 legger.

Hopefully this will help...3 legs--note the chewed up right rear leg that is present along with the missing right front leg

A little saying that exists for that die marker-"If the buffalo ain't pissin' the leg ain't missin'." It's just one of half a dozen excellent die markers for the genuine article tho doubtlessly the easiest to remember.

I feel kinda dumb. I should have known, lol. I actually thought that I saw the "stream" below, but I guess I didn't.

These can also be ID'd by the obverse, the third feather is detached.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a poll on the forum where 100% were on one side. Wow!

There are a number of dates that show a slight amount of attenuation on the right front leg which confuses the issue. The 3 1/2 legged coins (of which there are seven) are distinctly different than a normal coin. Any coin with more of a leg showing than those, especially a late stage 1916-D, would be considered to be four legged.

I used to own this one (a 1916) but it was the result of a filled die and therefore didn't count-
