Anyone expecting a package from Sheridan Downey's sale last night?

OKbustchaserOKbustchaser Posts: 5,525 ✭✭✭✭✭

I've struck out the last 3 or 4 of Sheridan's mail auctions until last night when I actually picked up a couple of busties.

Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

    Congrats on your wins @OKbustchaser

I see you branching out more and more away from the 27’s ;)

I didn’t bid, but there were quite a few prizes to be had for sure. Not often you see a 24-102 in 53!
    Or a 1809 O.101 in P50, or a 1818-115 in 55, and on and on....

I thought about a couple of the 27s...the 144 and the 145 would both have been major upgrades to my examples. But, I persevered in my attempt to ignore them. ;)

Congratulations all, I upgraded my 1809 O114 from a 20 to the original surface XF40.

What a great group of quality bustiers. There was hardly a poor choice in the lot.

Anyone have a XF or two that you upgraded to AU for sale? Let me know!

Great choices, @OKbustchaser! I tried and failed. Shut out for the first time in years.

Sheridan had some really scarce bust halves in this auction.

I really liked the ‘09 O-113a, the 1818 O-104a and the 1829/7 with the color but all went for over what I was willing to pay.

The 1818 actually wasn’t too high I just didn’t bid the right amount and got jumped. Oops.

The one that was really interesting was #49. Sold for $800 a few years back in auction but went for $2600 with juice 😱

Lance I was surprised you were shut out. You did wonderful photography, I got my catalog yesterday. And between Sheridan's prose and your art, every catalog becomes a keepsake.

The auction certainly had some fierce battles for rare die marriages that were condition census.

Really miss the shows Hope to see you soon my friend.

How about this time??? I managed to pick up 1 coin--the '23 111a, and got sniped on 2 others. Oh well, at least I made Tim O some money.

I wanted a couple of higher-grade (for me) busties, looks like I won lots 27 and 47 in my first Sheridan auction.

Nice choices...I considered going after that '31.
