I could see a 65 but the spot would annoy the hell out of me.

Luster appears like 65 quality, unsure of surfaces, but I'll guess 65 overall.

PCGS felt MS64 and CAC agreed, so who am I to argue. lol
I only lack a 40 S to complete my Shorter Set of 39-47d, then I will upgrade a couple or so. Thanks for your comments.

You have a lot of really nice ms64 walkers.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

Thank you. My collection started off being 41-47d and soon switched to 39-47d thanks to Walkerguy21D and others now only lacking the 40 S. All are 64 thru 66. I wanted them to all be the small ANACS holders but quickly found that to be greatly difficult and nearly impossible and at my age not likely to have time to complete it. lol

you are smart to go for the nice walker for the grade not just the high graded walker.
There are many awesome Walkers in MS-63 and MS-64.

I remember Russ having wonderful MS-64 walkers which he was very proud of.

Agree. I have always believed that 63-64 is a wonderful grade, esp. for those with a good eye. Specifically, 64 has been optimum for me, as every single one of my early Walkers (1916-1933) are graded 64 with the exception of one 62, four 63s and a sole 65.

    Great pickup, jesbroken!

I've mentioned this before, but when I was originally building my set, my plan was to not buy any of the late dates higher than 64, as at the time there were huge price spreads in the next grades up, and to my eye, diminishing returns. I felt better served saving the big $ for early dates in AU-low MS, where the coins were legitimately rare, and not just 'grade rare', which can (and did!) change over time.
I of course have since upgraded to some 65-66 coins, as the prices have come WAY down from where they were. And I still have some 64's squirreled away to someday go to CAC or reconsideration, as they sure look like modern 65/66 coins.

I have recently sent to PCGS 3 of your coins for grading along with others. In a month or so, I will update you as to the results. Looking truly forward to the 39 D.
