Hi guys, Where I live, at this very moment. Chicago is getting pounded with snow. 15 inches, by me. This right away makes me think of a "Snowman". Please post any coin/s with a snowman in it's date (an 8). Thanks guy's. Gotta go and grab my shovel for the 4th time today. Lol.

Wow. Thanks for sharing.
It is snowing where I am too, but we only have an inch or so that has fallen so far.
Your experience reminds me of my time In Chicagoland as a college student when a winter snowstorm shut the city down.
I am still trying to locate a photo taken between the shore of Lake Michigan and one of the buildings on campus with the snow piled up. Did come across this one though of my dorm with the alley way fronting it which brought back memories of a soft drink truck that was abandoned there in that same alley way by its driver due to the snow storm. When it was finally retrieved days later the soft drinks were no longer aboard.
OK, just found my photo taken in Chicagoland of the above referenced snow storm. Was able to confirm that the 23 inches of snow seen in the photo which fell on Chicago on January 26-27th became termed "The Chicago Blizzard of 1967." To date it remains the greatest snowstorm in Chicago history.
If the present 15 inch storm can add another nine inches before it is over you can see a new record set.
Pictured is my roommate standing behind our dining hall near our dorm. Behind me as I took the photo was Lake Michigan.

One of the benefits of having to work from home is you can take as many shovel breaks as are needed in the day. Been quite a few in the last week. We are back into shorts weather for shovelling (above 0).

Just came across another photo from "The Great Chicago Blizzard of 1967 which I also took in the same vicinity:
This was Monday shoveling the 8” inches off the porch in Texas. But it’s snowing hard again and expecting another 6-8” inches and maybe more. We haven’t seen anything like this in 20 years. I’m thinking maybe I didn’t move far enough south?

But it isn’t anything like the Blizzard in ‘77 I lived through in Buffalo. I lived in a studio apartment on the 2nd floor and people were walking by my bedroom window. Snow was still melting in July in the parks where they had to dump it.

On Feb. 16 the temperature dropped to -2° F in Dallas-Fort Worth. Power had been out 38 hours. Pipes broken inside walls. Trying to get inside my car to charge my cell phone. Couldn't find the ice scraper in the dark...but could always feel around for a PCGS box.

It rained here on Wednesday. For about 2 hours. First rain of the year. We did also get a slight drizzle on Christmas Day. No major damage. Thursday was lovely. Snow on the mountains was picture postcard perfect. The soil was just moist enough to get in a good day of discing. Oh, well. Just another day in Paradise.
Let’s see that weather report in a few months. Sweltering 104 degrees. Sweat off 5 pounds just going to your mailbox.
Yeah, can't wait! And it frequently gets up to 110 in late July. Love it! Shoveling the sunshine off driveway gets to be a problem sometimes, but aside from that, no problem!

We have a saying here in central Florida---"You don't have to shovel sunshine."
It's currently 75 and sunny here. In the summer it gets into the mid to upper 90's but in the evenings it cools off and there's always a nice breeze.

Our winters in New England seem to be much milder. Only used my snow blower once this year. Same thing last year. If it’s only a few inches, I shovel it. Good exercise.
Not a fan of tropical heat so i don’t mind enduring a few cold months and enjoying the other 9 months of good weather.
It's nearly November already. Didn't want to be unprepared this time. Look what I purchased today!
So, I have MORE time to CRHunt!
My first time owning any Snowblower!
Sorry guys, to bring up this "Snow" thread.
Welcome to the club. My snowblower is in the shop and hopefully the supply chain issue parts show up before I have to shovel my driveway in the weeks ahead.

How come "snow" is given quotation marks?
Anyway, they are complaining about the LACK of snow in the Sierra Nevada since there is "only" 215 inches, compared to the usual average of over 400!
But how about Cali, you can have the best of both - outrageous snow and super strong sun and heat?
Well, just Love coins, period.
DELETED, but it is a hell of a place when you can't post the honest truth because someone might get their panties twisted!
Lol. Because of the "Snowman" a number 8, on any coin. 8, a snowman. Lol.
